On June 16 we are going to innovate Estonian manufacturing industry together! Idea Garage: Industry 4.0: let's make factories smart together!
Garage48 with the European Regional Development Fund, Enterprise Estonia and Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications is organizing a day to gather some good ideas on how to bring the smart to the manufacturing enterprises and factories.
Industry 4.0 introduces what has been called the SMART FACTORY in which cyber-physical systems monitor the physical processes of the factory and make decentralized decisions.
There is a systemic lack of experience to create and implement these complicated systems. But the benefits of an Industry 4.0 model could outweigh the concerns for many production facilities.
Just a few perks of an Industry 4.0 revolution:
-in dangerous working environments, the health and safety of human workers could be improved dramatically
-Supply chains could be more controlled when there is data at every level of the manufacturing and delivery process
-Computer control could produce much more reliable and consistent productivity and output.
-Results for many businesses could be increased revenues, market share, and profits
This is a first event of the Industry 4.0 series, where all the industry specialists, startup folks, IT-specialists and visionaries will gather together, brainstorm about different ideas and problems they see in their everyday work life. After the brainstorming, we will form the clear problems needed to be solved and all the participants will be divided into teams (with an idea that each group has at least one industry specialist, one visionary and one IT-specialist).
We are inviting everybody, who is intrigued by Industry 4.0 concept and believes that there's much to improve on how the factories and manufacturing enterprises work.
So whether you are a student, specialist, scientist, a designer or just somebody who witnesses these problems in your everyday life- please come, share your ideas and let's make things work better together!
Hearty food, snacks and coffee will be provided throughout the day, so just bring your fresh, problemsolving self!
